Woodgrain Expands Product Offerings into Cement Industry

Woodgrain Millwork, a leader in the manufacturing of doors, moldings and windows, acquires EcoForm, a manufacturer of plastic coated engineered lumber products including reusable concrete forms and landscape edging. The Purchase will broaden Woodgrain’s already vast product offering. With Woodgrain’s vertical integration of its mills, manufacturing expertise and distribution network, EcoForm’s products will integrate seamlessly into Woodgrain’s operations.

EcoForm introduced a plastic coated engineered lumber product with specific application for concrete formwork and landscaping in the early 90’s. EcoForm’s patented process coats lumber with uv- stabilized polyethylene making it the only product of its kind. Its flexible hardboard core gives it strength and tremendous flex and bend. The polyethylene coated exterior allows it to repel moisture and other harsh elements of Mother Nature. The product was developed by founder Dan Kelly, a general contractor with deep roots in the cement industry. EcoForm’s benderboard product has multiple unique applications from construction to landscaping.
