San Group Hires 4 New Managers for Expanding Operations

San Group, a global exporter of Canadian-made lumber products, is proud to announce the hiring
of 4 new managers. These new employees will help San Group expand their business of exporting
ethically harvested and produced forest products to companies around the World.

Harold Frechette – Production Coordinator and Hemlock Sales Manager
Coulson Manufacturing Division, Port Alberni, British Columbia

– Harold will be responsible for managing production operations at San Group’s, Coulson sawmill
located in Port Alberni, coupled with developing San Group’s Hemlock export sales division.
Harold brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to San Group’s milling and export sales team.

– Over 40 years experience with Weyerhaeuser/Western Forest Products, Macmillan Bloedel and
Terminal Forest Productions • Work many different roles ranging from Supervisor in planer mill and
sawmill, production coordinator and sales supervisor. • Extensive sales experience in Japanese,
North American, and Chinese lumber markets.

Peter Zhao – Asia, Sales Manager
Langley Head Office, British Columbia

– Peter will be responsible for San Group’s sales/marketing of Sales for Asia. Peter has a strong
knowledge of global sales distribution channels for lumber products and an extensive customer
base in China, Korea, Japan and other Asian markets. Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and
expertise to San Group Global Export Sales Team.

– Over 18 years in export sales with Western Forest Products, Cascadia, Weyerhaeuser and A&A
logging • Program coordination experience in developing high level custom cutting programs for
Asian customers • Production coordination, overseeing break-bulk and container shipment to a
number of Chinese ports • For over 12 years, worked with Canada Wood and major buyers in
China, on the promotion/marketing of coastal species • Acted as a keynote speaker on several
trade missions to China.

Brooks Yancey – Log Supply Manager
San Group Forestry Division, Vancouver Island

– Brooks will be responsible for managing San Group’s logging division and will be working from
San Group’s Port Alberni and Campbell River offices. Brooks will also help to coordinate San
Group’s log procurement activities on Vancouver Island. Brooks brings a wealth of knowledge and
expertise to San Group’s logging team.

– 15 years of experience in the Coastal Logging Industry • Member of the Association of BC Forest
Professionals (ABCFP) since 2005 • Worked all over the Coast from South Vancouver Island to Haida
Gwaii in forest engineering, contract management and infrastructure development positions for
major operations • Past member (including 2 years as chair) of the Forest Resource Advisory
Committee at Vancouver Island University • Past member (Including 2 years as chair) of the
Canadian Institute of Forestry (CIF) – BC Coalition for National Forest Week

Shannon Jackson – Log Inventory and QC Manager
San Group Forestry Division, Vancouver Island

– Shannon will be primarily responsible for San Group’s field work, as a log site quality control
manager. Shannon is well versed in a number of Forestry roles and will bring a wealth of
knowledge and expertise to San Group’s log division.

– 13 years forestry operations and administrative experience with Lemare • 6 years grading timber
and doing QC on the dryland and in the woods
