Pacific Woodtech Introduces the World’s First Manufacturer-Treated – Fully Warranted LVL

Pacific Woodtech, in collaboration with Kop-Coat, has created PWT Treated™ LVL,  the only commercially available, onsite fully treated engineered LVL product, manufactured and warranted to meet the needs of ever-growing outdoor living trends and innovative sustainable building solutions.

Using a proprietary system and process that relies on TRU-CORE® technology, every piece is uniformly treated throughout each cross-section, penetrating to the core. This is unlike traditional mechanisms that typically only affect the outer perimeter. An envelope treatment adds an additional level of safeguard, resulting in strong, consistent and dependable wood that protects against fungal rot, decay and insects.

“Our on-site proprietary process delivers treatment into the entire member, unlike other post-manufacturing treatments which add pressure and regulated mineral solvents or water-based drivers that can affect strength – and sometimes warranties – in engineered wood products,” says Jim Enright, CEO and President of Pacific Woodtech.

PWT Treated LVL offers consistent strength and dimensions – it’s straight and true every time. It is easy to work with and stainable, allowing for versatility and design flexibility. Longer spans of beams and joists mean fewer columns, footings and piers, resulting in unobstructed under-deck sight lines and free-flowing transitions to below-deck living areas.
