Bell Lumber & Pole Reaches Agreement with AmeriTies West, LLC

Bell Lumber and Pole Co. (“Bell”), a 4th generation family owned leader in the markets of round wood and glulam utility poles and timber pilings, announced it has completed an agreement with AmeriTies West, LLC (“AmeriTies”).  The agreement will provide Bell with a West Coast source for creosote and copper naphthenate treated utility poles and timber pilings produced out of The Dalles, Oregon, USA.

The AmeriTies partnership represents a significant step toward Bell’s diversification in treating systems and aligns with Bell’s long-established procurement and peeling operations in the region for Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar poles and pilings. The Amerities agreement also builds on Bell’s growth strategies for the western regions of the United States and Canada while expanding Bell’s local operations and inventory footprint, providing additional scale to service the utility industry and other commercial and industrial markets. This partnership also adds to Bell’s strong portfolio of treated wood-product options, introducing copper naphthenate and creosote, which are recognized as high-performance treating solutions.
