Report: Flavelle Sawmill on Historic Port Moody Site to be Shuttered by End of October
According to local news reports, Flavelle Sawmill Co. Ltd. (HQ: Port Moody, BC), will be indefinitely closing their Port Moody sawmill.
The Vancouver Sun reports that “Surinder Ghog, CEO of the AP Group of Companies, broke the news to Flavelle’s 70 employees Monday afternoon citing “disproportionately high municipal property taxes” that hit $2.4 million in 2019 from $1.6 million the year before.”
