Concord Lumber Corporation Announces Jack Mackin as President
Concord Lumber Corporation’s Board of Directors is excited to announce Jack Mackin has been named President of the company. Jack will be assuming day-to-day leadership beginning May 3rd, 2021.
Tim Lancaster who has been acting Chief Executive Officer will stay on as a member of the board of directors, serving alongside David Perry, CFO of Concord Lumber Corporation, and Duncan Facey, former Vice President of Forest Products at LBM Advantage. Ed Schatz will continue in his role as Chairman of the Board.
Mackin has more than 20-years of senior management experience, including 15 years as the Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and CEO of a family-owned retail lumber yard where under his leadership he successfully grew the business, oversaw the implementation of the latest technology and transformed his lumber yard into the leading distributor of FSC-certified wood products among other things. He currently serves as owner and operator of Multivista Massachusetts, a company that manages a full suite of visual construction documentation services. Prior to that, Mackin worked in both the tech industry, where he started Piiq.com, an Affiliate Network tracking platform for 50+ Fortune 500 companies, and in the financial industry, where he served as Vice President / Derivatives Trader, Equity Derivatives for Bank of America.

Mackin can count the following career highlights as specific examples of his strong leadership skills; in his most recent role of Owner and CEO at Multivista Massachusetts, he has grown the company to record sales despite the ongoing pandemic. While serving as CEO of the lumber yard, Mackin increased revenue 12%–15% year over year, led a team of 50+ employees with 25 direct reports and streamlined company procedures and processes, resulting in 37% improved efficiency based on sales per employee metric. In addition, Mackin has been engaged in well-known building supply industry organizations including the US Green Building Council, National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston, and was a frequent speaker at local events, trade shows, and national conferences. Mackin has also dedicated time to lobbying Congress in 2015, 2016, and 2017 regarding laws applicable to the retail and lumber industry.

Jack Mackin received a BS Degree in Finance from Georgetown, and in 2020, he was selected and completed the Goldman Sachs 10K, receiving a certificate of Entrepreneurship, Small Business Administration and Management. Jack and his wife Jennifer are the proud parents of three teenage children. They live in Natick, MA and he enjoys golf, basketball, and long walks with his dogs, Frankie and Apollo.
