Announcement of the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council on the Fifth Exclusion and Extension List of Products Imposing Tariffs on the United States and Canada

According to the “Announcement of the Tariff Commission of the State Council on the First Exclusion and Extension List of Tariffs on the United States and Canada” (Tax Commission Announcement [2020] No. 8) and the “State Council Tariff Commission on the Third Exclusion and Extension List of Tariffs on the United States and Canada” “Announcement” (Tax Commission Announcement [2021] No. 2), the first exclusion and extension list for goods levied on U.S. and Canada tariffs and the third exclusion extension list for goods levied on U.S. and Canada tariffs will expire on September 16, 2021. The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council decided in accordance with procedures to extend the exclusion period for the above-mentioned commodities. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

For the 81 items listed in the annex, the exclusion period stipulated in the Taxation Committee Announcement [2020] No. 8 and the Taxation Committee Announcement [2021] No. 2 will be extended. From September 17, 2021 to April 16, 2022, the exclusion period will continue. I will impose additional tariffs to counter the US 301 measures.
