McCoy’s Building Supply Celebrates Groundbreaking of Lockhart Retail Location
McCoy’s Building Supply recently celebrated the official groundbreaking of its new retail location in Lockhart, TX. The property at the southeast corner of Colorado Street and Bufkin Lane will be McCoy’s 87th store.
To honor the occasion, McCoy’s President and CEO Meagan McCoy Jones and Lockhart Mayor Lew White were joined by Fire Chief Randy Jenkins and Chief of Police Gary Williamson along with McCoy’s employees who are Lockhart residents and other company representatives. Members of the Lockhart City Staff, Lockhart Chamber of Commerce, and Lockhart Hispanic Chamber of Commerce also attended the event.
“We are a fourth-generation company. Our intention is to do things with a long-term mindset, and we are honored to be joining the Lockhart community,” said Jones. “I have been so impressed at how everyone here is an incredible steward of Lockhart’s history, while at the same time making sure this is a city that grows in a way true to its roots. Thank you for letting McCoy’s be your partner in that growth.”
The store, designed by Studio 8 Architects, will have a large, covered, drive-thru lumberyard and a fleet of delivery trucks to serve the building trades and DIY customers alike. Eckermann Engineering will be involved throughout the project, and Chaney Cox will serve as general contractor for the upcoming build.
