Paxton Lumber Announces San Antonio Merger

Frank Paxton Lumber Co. is pleased to announce the merger of two industry leaders serving manufacturers of cabinets, furniture, architectural woodwork, and other wood products in San Antonio.

In order to provide a more comprehensive product assortment and extensive range of support services and expertise, two distribution branches in San Antonio will be combined into one business effective Tuesday, August 1. Rugby and Paxton are both divisions of ADENTRA Inc., and as such the merging of the two locations does not involve a change of ownership.

In preparation for merging, the Paxton facility is undergoing extensive renovations and upgrades. Therefore, until the construction is finished it will be business as normal at the Rugby Architectural Building Products facility at 4201 Director Dr. The difference that customers will notice starting August 1 is that new purchases will be invoiced under the Paxton name. At a later date Paxton will notify all customers when the business is fully relocated to Paxton.

“Efforts are being made to minimize the impact of this change on our customers,” said John Griffin, VP Paxton. “The facility’s business hours, product lines, and will-call services will continue unchanged, subject to future adjustments, and it will be business as normal at the Paxton facility. On August 1, Rugby accounts will transfer to Paxton. Customers currently receiving Rugby email communications will begin receiving communications from Paxton to keep them informed of any changes, as well as new products and opportunities.”
