Westlake Ace Hardware announced a new charitable partnership with City of Hope®, one of the largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States. People travel from all over the country to seek treatment at City of Hope’s comprehensive cancer center in California — as well as cancer centers near Atlanta, Chicago, and Phoenix.

At select Ace Hardware locations in California, Buikema’s Ace Hardware in Chicagoland, and Westlake Ace locations in Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico from September 13-28, Westlake Ace will hold a special “round up” fundraising drive to celebrate the new partnership. Every time a customer “round up” their purchases at the register, they will become part of a larger mission — funding groundbreaking research, supporting new treatments, and offering hope to those facing cancer.

United by a shared commitment to building healthier and stronger communities, the partnership will combine City of Hope’s innovative cancer research and compassionate care with Westlake Ace’s dedication to serving people and neighborhoods nationwide.

“City of Hope is at the forefront of the fight against cancer, with experts dedicated to curing cancer and delivering personalized care at lifesaving speed,” said Andy Schmitt, chief operating officer of Westlake Ace Hardware. “Our Core Values of Service and Passion have long guided our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities in which we do business. That’s why we are excited to partner with City of Hope and help shine a spotlight on the vital work they do every day. Together, we strive to bring the promise of a cancer-free future within reach for everyone.”

“We are deeply grateful to Ace Hardware and its customers for joining us in the fight against cancer,” said Joe Watterson, vice president of corporate philanthropy at City of Hope. “This partnership reflects a powerful commitment to community and compassion, uniting Ace Hardware’s dedication to serving people across the country with City of Hope’s efforts to advance cancer research and treatment.”
