Tolko Achieves Silver-level Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR)
Tolko Industries has been honoured in achieving Silver-level status in the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business’ (CCIB), Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program.
This accreditation underscores a corporation’s commitment to integrating reconciliation throughout their business through processes that will ensure the commitment is embedded for the future. Through the requirement for re-certification, the program both reinforces consistency for continuous improvement of a company’s commitment and investigates how the company has responded to issues over the past years.
Tolko has been involved with CCIB since 2018. The company’s status was promoted from Bronze to Silver in 2024 through the re-certification process.
“Achieving Silver-level certification is a significant milestone for Tolko, reflecting our dedication to fostering progressive relationships with Indigenous communities,” said Janis Simpkins, Vice President, Indigenous & Government Relations and Sustainability.
“We are proud to be recognized as a best practices organization, setting the tone for meaningful engagement and partnership.”
The Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program is the premier corporate social responsibility program with an emphasis on Indigenous relations.
Tolko remains the only forestry company operating in multiple provinces to attain Silver-level PAIR certification.
