Ledinek Expands Also to California
This project is particularly noteworthy, as it is part of Sierra Institute’s initiative to revitalize areas impacted by the decline of industries such as mining and ironworks.
By strengthening the wood processing sector, Sierra Institute aims to support economic renewal, and we are proud to contribute as a trusted partner with extensive experience in the field. The design of this CLT line is relatively straightforward but optimized for high machine utilization and production capacity.
It combines elements from our previous projects, including the CLT production lines for Stilles in Slovenia and Holzbau Driendl in Germany. The line includes following machines: X-Cut 200, the new Kontizink H 1700 finger jointing machine developed specially for the US market, the Europlan 4V-S120 planer, a XE-Press and the Ledinek glue application system.
While the project presents certain challenges—such as its remote location, a nine-hour time difference, and complex logistics—our extensive global project management experience ensures thorough preparation and successful execution. From assembly to commissioning, we are confident in delivering a seamless implementation at the customer’s site.
We look forward to the first shipments at the end of the summer and the start of the installation process, beginning with the XE-Press and the Kontizink finger jointing machine.
We are pleased to announce our latest project—supplying a CLT production line to the USA. The line will be installed at Crescent Mill in Northern California, near the Nevada state border.
