Westlake Ace Hardware Officially Opens 3rd Columbia Store

From March 14 to 16, grand opening events and a sale will celebrate the official opening of Westlake Ace’s third store in Columbia, Missouri.
Columbia, Missouri, has always been a special place for Westlake Ace Hardware. As one of the first cities the retailer expanded into after its 1905 founding in nearby Huntsville, Mo., Westlake Ace has been part of the Columbia community – consistently delivering the Ace Helpful Promise and providing leading products to generations of homeowners since 1960.
From March 14 to 16, Westlake Ace will celebrate another milestone with the grand opening celebration of its third store in Columbia – and its 39th store in Missouri. The new 22,000 sq. ft. store, located at 405 E Nifong Blvd. in the Rock Bridge Shopping Center, will officially open its doors on March 14 with a “board cutting.” The other two Columbia stores are located at 1910 W. Worley and 1900 Business Loop 70 East.
Board Cutting and Grand Opening Celebrations
- A ceremonial board-cutting by Westlake Ace leadership and Columbia dignitaries will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 14. Light breakfast bites will be served.
- On Saturday, March 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the grand opening celebration event will include vendor demonstrations, free prize drawings, refreshments, free kids’ activities, and more.
- A “Celebration Sale” will be held March 14-16. During the sale, all Ace Rewards loyalty program members will receive 20 percent off most purchases.
The weekend grand opening festivities will also be an opportunity to formally introduce Jeff Brown, the store’s general manager, to the Columbia community. Brown joined the Westlake Ace team in 2021 as general manager of the retailer’s Warrensburg, Mo. location. When he is not at work, the experienced retail industry veteran loves spending time with his family, getting outside, camping, and doing DIY projects around the house – particularly building things like furniture.
In addition to offering such services as key cutting, automotive key fob replacement, and propane tank exchange, the store will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies. The new store will also showcase several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling such brands as:
- Stihl, Ego, and Milwaukee outdoor power equipment
- Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints
- A full-line Garden Center featuring annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, tropicals, and shrubs
- The Kitchen Connection department features gourmet foods, cookware, kitchen utensils, kitchen linens, and more
- Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Craftsman power tools
- Weber, Traeger, and Big Green Egg grills and accessories
- Carhartt, Ariat, Dickies, and CAT workwear and men’s apparel
- Scotts lawn care products
- Yeti coolers, drinkware, and accessories
