Joshua Whitley Named Vice President of Accounting at McCoy’s Building Supply
Company Press Release
McCoy’s Building Supply recently announced the appointment of Joshua Whitley as Vice President of Accounting and Controller. Whitley had previously served as the company’s Controller since August 2017.
Whitley, a graduate of Texas State University, has over 18 years of experience at McCoy’s Building Supply. His first role with the company, while still in college, was to manually reconcile bills in the Accounts Payable Department. Over the years, Whitley was instrumental in the addition of many procedural efficiencies at McCoy’s including automation of the three-way match system, improvements to our content management software, p-card processing and automation of Sales Tax information.
“I’ve watched Josh mature over the past 18 years. I’m so proud of him and excited for the impact he’s going to make in our company in the years ahead,” said Rick Neal, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. “He’s a home-grown leader who understands our systems. More importantly, he understands how important our customers and employees are to McCoy’s.”
“I’ve learned so much from my financial mentors at McCoy’s about strategic planning. Everything from preparing for and responding to the economic impacts on the company to evaluating and automating business processes in order to improve efficiency, accountability, and performance,” said Whitley. “I look forward to my involvement and support of McCoy’s strategic plan for the years to come.”
