Clayton Supply Enters Nashville Market

Clayton Supply, a division of Clayton Home Building Group®, a Berkshire Hathaway company, today announced plans to establish a truss and wall panel manufacturing facility in Westmoreland, Tenn., creating approximately 110 jobs in Sumner County.

Located at 1720 Pleasant Grove Rd. in Sumner County, the 130,000 square-foot facility will build panels and trusses for residential single and multifamily homes in and around the Nashville market. This will be one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in the country, allowing Clayton Supply to offer framing components for residential on-site builders. Clayton Supply owns and operates 19 other supply locations across the nation that build components for Clayton’s off-site home building facilities.

Clayton Supply plans to invest approximately $14 million to renovate and equip the recently acquired facility to provide a world class, team member centric environment. Renovations will focus on providing improved safety and overall experience for team members. The plans include a complete renovation of the buildings and grounds to bring them up to modern manufacturing standards and new automated factory equipment to support the manufacture of panels and trusses.

This supply facility will create approximately 110 jobs split between those who work in the facility and those who work on the job site. Operations are expected to commence early 2020.
