Andy Toombs Retiring From LMC
LMC is announcing the retirement of Senior Vice President Andy Toombs effective April 30, 2020. Andy’s 39-year career with LMC has been truly remarkable.
Andy joined LMC in April 1981 as a Plywood Account Specialist. During his tenure, Andy held various positions in the organization including; Assistant Buyer, Senior Buyer, Product Manager, Department Manager, Purchasing Manager of Lumber, Vice President of Lumber Division, and Senior Vice President of Strategy Development, before being named Senior Vice President of Purchasing in 2017.
For nearly four decades, Andy was at the forefront of building business together with our stockholders and suppliers and oversaw incredible growth in the company.
Sean Tighe, Vice President-Lumber Division, has been selected to be Andy’s successor. Sean has been with LMC for 21 years and has served in various roles prior to his current position including Trader in both SYP and Engineered Wood, Department Manager of Eastern/Western Lumber and Purchasing Manager of Eastern/Western Commodity Lumber.
“Sean’s experience along with his ability to lead and build key relationships makes him the perfect successor to Andy,” said President & CEO John Somerville. “Both Andy and Sean embody our company culture of integrity, knowledge and hardworking talent providing value to our dealers every day.”
Sean will work closely with Andy over the next several months to ensure a smooth transition, as well as assisting with the selection and transition of his own replacement.
LMC is very grateful for Andy’s years of service and dedication and we wish him all the best in the next chapter in his life.
