Tractor Supply Company (“Tractor Supply” & “Company”), the largest rural lifestyle retail chain in the United States, announced a special appreciation bonus for Team Members in its stores and distribution centers, along with a new parental leave policy to support its Team Members and their families.
“Tractor Supply Team Members, who are at the heart of our relationship with our customers, have worked tirelessly during the pandemic to take care of each other and our customers,” said Hal Lawton, Tractor Supply’s President and CEO. “We are honored to be able to recognize our store and distribution center Team Members who have stepped up to the challenges of this year and remained focused on serving the rural lifestyle we all love. Their dedication to living our Mission and Values every day has allowed Tractor Supply to support our customers and the communities we call home during the pandemic. Thank you to the entire Tractor Supply team for all you have accomplished this year.”
Lawton continued, “At Tractor Supply, we continue to prioritize health and safety and make investments in resources and protocols to help protect our Team Members and our customers.”
“We are committed to providing benefits that help our Team Members thrive at home and at work,” said Melissa Kersey, Tractor Supply’s Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our new paid parental leave policy supports Tractor Supply’s commitment to going the country mile for our Team Members. We believe that family is incredibly important, and our new parental leave policy helps provide our Team Members the support they need as they welcome a new member to the family.”
Team Member Bonuses and Pandemic Leave Policy
In recognition of the dedication of its Team Members, the Company is awarding a one-time special appreciation bonus of $300 to full-time Team Members and $150 to part-time Team Members at Tractor Supply and Petsense stores and distribution centers in recognition of their commitment to each other, customers and operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
These special appreciation bonuses for the Company’s Team Members in stores and distribution centers are in addition to previous bonuses of $2 per hour paid from March to June 2020 and permanent compensation increases implemented effective June 28, 2020.
Entering 2021, the Company will continue paid sick leave for all Team Members affected by COVID-19. Team Members who self-report contagious, flu or COVID-19 symptoms that keep them out of work; are part of a mandated or self-imposed quarantine; are impacted by the temporary closing of a location due to the outbreak; or have a confirmed case of COVID-19, will continue to be paid during that time.
Paid Parental Leave to Support the Balance of Work and Family
Tractor Supply will offer six consecutive weeks of paid parental leave for Team Members to care for new family members entering the home. The paid parental leave is available to full-time Team Members regardless of gender or the way a new family member enters the home. The new policy takes effect February 1, 2021. Benefits are subject to Team Members meeting certain eligibility requirements.
Tractor Supply also provides many additional resources for working parents, including paid disability leave for maternity, adoption expense reimbursement, counseling and support through its Employee Assistance Program and nursing rooms at its Store Support Center.
