Conner Industries Moves Panama City Manufacturing Plant to New Location
Conner Industries Inc. announced on Tuesday that its Panama City, Florida manufacturing facility will relocate to a new property within the city on May 25, 2021. The move was largely prompted by irreparable property damages sustained during Hurricane Michael in late 2018, along with the desire to enhance their capabilities to better serve their present and future customers in Florida and the surrounding area. This move signals strong business growth for the industrial wood and custom pallet, crate, and packaging manufacturer, despite challenges recently faced by many in the industry during the past year.
“We’re excited about moving our Panama City plant to a new location,” says David Dixon, CEO of Conner Industries. “This move to an improved facility, on the heels of a very challenging time for our industry, just proves that Conner is continuing to grow and confirms Conner’s place as an industry leader.”
Located at 6727 Bay Line Drive, in Panama City, Florida, the new facility boasts a main building of nearly 23,000 square feet of office and assembly area, along with more than 16,000 additional square feet of enclosed storage. The entire facility is contained on a nearly 5 acre fenced lot, and will continue to be one of Conner’s primary external packaging products assembly locations.
“In a rapidly changing packaging landscape, this new location in Panama City allows us to better align our services with our customer demands,” says Mike Huggins, VP Corporate Strategy. “Relocating this plant after spending ten years at our previous location gives us the opportunity to continue working with our great customers in Florida, and provide a better work environment for our employees, while expanding our manufacturing capabilities to meet the growing needs of the Panama City market.”
