Andersen Corporate Foundation Announces $2.3 Million in Donations
The Andersen Corporate Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its spring 2023 grant round. The Foundation announced grant commitments totaling more than $2.3 million to 85 nonprofit organizations in its first of two grant rounds this year.
As part of this $2.3 million, the Andersen Corporate Foundation has committed $1 million over the next four years to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Build Forward Together campaign, supporting Habitat’s work to break down barriers to homeownership.
The Twin Cities has one of the largest racial homeownership gaps in the nation, growing wider and wider each year. This gap has created a rift in overall wealth for Black households and has exacerbated disparities in health, education and employment.
“We are proud to support Habitat’s Build Forward Together campaign to address the glaring inequity of homeownership in the communities in which we live and work,” said Eliza Chlebeck, senior director of communications and community at Andersen and vice president and secretary of the Andersen Corporate Foundation board. With this donation, the Andersen Corporate Foundation will provide foundational support to help change lives and communities by expanding homeownership opportunities and advancing racial equity.”
The Andersen Corporate Foundation was established in 1941 with the mission to improve lives and strengthen communities where Andersen employees live and work. Since then, the Foundation has donated more than $65 million to worthy causes in the areas of housing, health, hunger relief and education.
As part of each grant round, the Foundation works with employee committees at multiple manufacturing locations, enabling Andersen’s local teams to make the impact they feel is most valuable in their community.
