LP Building Solutions Awarded Five Prestigious Honors for Structural Solutions Products, Recognized for Product Excellence and Sustainability
LP Building Solutions (“LP”), a leading manufacturer of high-performance building products, announced several accolades garnered by its Structural Solutions portfolio, further solidifying its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Three distinguished industry authorities—BUILD Magazine, PRODUCTS Magazine, and Green Builder Media—recognized the LP® Structural Solutions portfolio for its exceptional product quality and sustainable attributes.
In September 2023, LP ANNOUNCED that five products within its Structural Solutions portfolio—LP® TECHSHIELD® RADIANT BARRIER, LP WEATHERLOGIC® AIR & WATER BARRIER, LP LEGACY® PREMIUM SUB-FLOORING, LP® FLAMEBLOCK® FIRE-RATED SHEATHING and LP® TOPNOTCH® 350 DURABLE SUB-FLOORING—are carbon negative. This announcement followed LP’s inclusion in Green Builder Media’s SUSTAINABLE BRAND INDEX, recognizing LP as among the top 10 structural brands.
BUILD Magazinesubsequently named LP America’s Best High-Performance Sustainable Building Products Manufacturer in its 2023 SUSTAINABLE BUILDING AWARDS. These awards honor the latest advancements in energy efficiency, circular construction and more. BUILD Magazine also honored LP’s Structural Solutions portfolio as a Building Products Environmental Stewardship Leader in its 2023 ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS.
Continuing its streak of recognition, PRODUCTS Magazine honored LP with the MVP Award for LP® FlameBlock® Fire-Rated Sheathing and LP WeatherLogic® Air & Water Barrier in February 2024. This accolade, conferred by a panel of esteemed builders, remodelers and designers, reaffirms LP’s position as an industry leader in design and performance.
“LP’s Structural Solutions portfolio is at the forefront of eco-conscious innovation in the building industry,” said LP Executive Vice President and General Manager of OSB Jimmy Mason. “These awards reflect LP’s long-standing commitment to Building a Better World™—starting with providing high-quality, sustainable building products that not only meet but exceed our customers’ needs.”
The September 2023 carbon negativity announcement, determined by a series of Environmental Product Declarations validated by ASTM International, showed the products’ capacity to store more carbon than is released during their entire life cycle. The result is less carbon emitted into the earth’s atmosphere, furthering LP’s environmental stewardship.
In addition to its sustainability credentials, LP® Structural Solutions is engineered for resilience and high performance, as underscored by its recent recognition by PRODUCTS Magazine.
“Our history of excellence underscores LP’s commitment to providing unparalleled building solutions,” Mason continued. “We are honored to receive recognition from leading industry authorities and remain steadfast in our mission to set the standards of superior home construction.”
