Marvin Welcomes Director of Operations for New Kansas City Manufacturing Facility
400,000-square-foot facility is expected to begin production in 2025, welcoming 600 new jobs
Marvin welcomes Robert Conchola as director of operations for Marvin’s forthcoming manufacturing plant in Kansas City, Kansas. Conchola will oversee and guide the daily operations for Marvin in Kansas City and will soon begin to build the team that will open Marvin’s newest facility.
Conchola brings more than 25 years of manufacturing experience to Marvin, most recently having served as a plant manager for Advanced Drainage Systems. Born and raised in Kansas City, he brings not only professional expertise but a personal connection to the community.
“Robert’s passion for manufacturing and his commitment to excellence are an ideal alignment with Marvin’s core values and we look forward to his leadership as Marvin begins to operate in the region,” said Marvin President Darrin Peterson. “Robert’s extensive experience and connection to Kansas City are great assets for Marvin and our new facility.”
Considerable progress has been made on the 400,000-square-foot facility in the Scannell 435 Logistics Center at 9822 Leavenworth Road in Wyandotte County. Much of the concrete floor has been poured, vertical walls will soon be raised and underground utilities are well underway. Construction will be completed next year, where Marvin anticipates growing to a 600-person workforce in 2028.
“I am honored to join Marvin and to be part of a company that truly values quality, innovation, and giving back to the community,” said Conchola. “I look forward to working with the talented team to establish our presence in Kansas City and contribute to the company’s overall growth.”
With its expansion to Kansas City, Marvin will operate in 19 cities across North America. Marvin is ranked No. 19 on Forbes magazine’s America’s Best Large Employers, an exclusive list of the nation’s top places to work with more than 5,000 employees.
